Philadelphia Police have arrested a man accused of posing as a landscaper and then sexually assaulting a women at gunpoint in East Germantown earlier this month. 22-year-old Keion Wells of the 6600 block of Crawson Street is charged with aggravated assault, robbery, rape, sex assault and other offenses. It happened on August 7 on the unit block of East Johnson Street. Wells pretended to be a landscaper before he attacked the victim in her home at gunpoint. He then stole her cell phone.... A junkyard fire caused serious delays on SEPTA and Amtrak train service through Northeast Philadelphia on Sunday night and early Monday morning. The fire started just before 7 p.m. Sunday, 8/19, near Torresdale and Adams Avenues in Frankford. Thick black smoke could be seen for miles. A contractor died after being trapped for several hours in a trench that collapsed in Philadelphia's East Oak Lane neighborhood on Thursday, 8/16. It happened around 11 a.m. on the 100 block of West Walnut Park Drive. Men were doing plumbing work in the hole at the time when dirt and concrete began to refill the trench.
