Philadelphia Police have identified the suspect wanted for a fatal hit-and-run of a 60-year-old deaf man in North Philadelphia last week. 44-year-old Edward Prince of Olney, also known as Jamil Smith, is wanted for homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and other charges. Two people have been indicted for trying to use explosives to rob a Wawa convenience store during the unrest last June following the shooting of George Floyd. It happened on June 5 at the Wawa near the Betsy Ross Bridge in Bridesburg. 65-year-old Desiree Adorno and 34-year-old Michael Fields are charged with conspiracy to use explosive devices to steal lottery tickets and money from the safe. A large fire broke out a popular wedding venue, hotel, and hospitality center in Montgomery County on Thursday night, 3/4. Firefighters were called around 8 p.m. to the historic Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center on the 1400 block of Morris Road in Blue Bell. The property dates back to the early 1700s. On Tuesday, March 2, Philadelphia officials announced that it will follow the rest of Pennsylvania and alter its capacity guidelines for indoor and outdoor events and sports.
