A passenger jet carrying 148 people crashed Tuesday in the French Alps as it flew from Barcelona to Duesseldorf. Search-and-rescue teams may take a day and a half to get to the remote region, Due to the nature of the crash, no survivors are expected. The Germanwings Airbus A320 plane sent out a distress signal at 10:45 am local time then crashed in a mountainous zone at an altitude of about 2,000 meters (6,550 feet). A chocolate study from the University of Ghana is getting quite a great deal of attention from a meeting in Denver for the American Chemical Society. It's about a way to make chocolate more nutritious. Chocolate in small doses can have a protective effect on the heart. Antioxidants linked to chocolate lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and stroke risk when consumed in small doses. Bloomsburg University is standing by it's decision to dismiss a baseball player from the team following an insensitive tweet directed at 13-year-old Philadelphia Little League star Mo'ne Davis. A former Methacton High School baseball standout was kicked off the team at Bloomsburg University for posting an offensive tweet about Little League World Series Star, Mo'ne Davis. Joey Casselberry heard Disney was making a movie about Mo'ne Davis and tweeted, "WHAT A JOKE. That slut got rocked by Nevada" Casselberry has apologized and taken his twitter account down.

Several cars were broken into overnight in Northeast Philadelphia and it appears the thieves may have been targeting airbags. Five vehicles were broken into, all within about a block of each other in the area of Hartel Avenue and Frontenac Street in the city's Rhawnhurst section. The cars were all Hondas. Upper Merion police believe that a body found Sunday afternoon is that of a woman missing since last month. 37-year-old Heather Tillette went missing on Thursday, February 26th. She was last seen walking out of Einstein Medical Center on the 500 block of Germantown Pike in East Norriton Township after missing an appointment for treatment. The third suspect accused in the murder of a man walking his dog in Overbrook last Thursday night turned himself in overnight. Two 15 year olds in custody include the alleged shooter, Tyfine Hamilton and Brandon Smith. They will be charged with murder and other offenses. The third suspect, a 14 year old male is expected to face lesser charges for his role in the shooting.

A second suspect sought in the shooting death of a man in the Overbrook neighborhood of Philadelphia last week has surrendered. 15-year-old Tyfine Hamilton turned himself into Philadelphia Police around 2:30 a.m. Friday. His family says Tyfine was off his medication at the time of the shooting and needs help. Police say Hamilton was the triggerman in the fatal shooting.
