We are currently in the middle of the latest winter storm to dump significant snow on the area and this one has helped make history. After this morning's accumulations a 130-year-old record was broken. For the first time in history there have been four snowfalls over 6+ inches in one season. This season has also moved up into the top 5 all time snowiest winters at 53.1". (see below) After tonight's second round of snow, this year could slide up to the third snowiest season on record for... Read More

It's a good day to stay inside and listen to music. This winter storm won't let up until tomorrow morning. And because the storm is tracking the way it is Philadelphia may get a foot of snow. Northern and western suburbs will see over a foot before it's all over. It will lighten up at times this afternoon, but it is a Nor'easter and the back end of the storm will drop several more inches tonight and overnight as temperatures plummet and everything freezes.

The Philadelphia Auto Show is keeping its doors open despite the snow. The next winter storm is approaching, Philadelphia's 11th storm of the season. It's a good idea to be ready to be self-sufficient for at least 72 hours going into this storm. That means ample food, drink, personal items, gasoline and anything else you use every day. Be prepared in case it’s worse than the forecasted 6 to 10 inches.

Winter storm warnings go into effect late tonight through early Friday for the entire Philadelphia region. This is a classic Nor’easter and... Read More

Frustration with the slow pace of recovery from Superstorm Sandy boiled over Tuesday at a public hearing on the rebuilding process. Residents affected by Sandy blasted state officials over what they consider unconscionably long delays, unresponsive bureaucracy and incompetence in approving and distributing storm aid. The hearing in Galloway Township was the first of three scheduled for this week on the state's plans to spend the next $1.4 billion in federal storm recovery aid.
