Police are now investigating a stabbing that took place in the Logan section of Philadelphia on Wednesday night. The stabbing took place on 4800 block of North 10th Street at around 6:16 pm. The victim was stabbed twice on the left side of his back as well as once on his right side. Police then rushed him to Einstein Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition. So far no arrests have been made, and police are still searching for the suspect.

The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that rookie center Joel Embiid will be out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. The Sixers said on Monday that he would be out indefinitely, but then decided to sideline him for the rest of the year after an MRI showed his torn meniscus is worse than they expected. Pepsi is cutting 80-100 Philadelphia area jobs in response to the city's recent beverage tax over the next few months beginning today. Employees from the frontline to supervisory positions will be affected. The company said that beverage sales are down 40% in the city and up only 10-15% outside the city since the tax went into effect in January.
