Wawa has announced that they are temporarily suspending in-store made-to-order food at all of its Philadelphia stores. This will go into effect at the company's 42 Philadelphia city stores at 5 a.m. Friday March 27. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced on Thursday, 3/26, that the deadline for obtaining a REAL ID has been postponed by 1-year. The deadline was set for this October. It is now October 1, 2021. You do not have to have a REAL ID compliant identification, but it is required for many things including boarding a commercial flight and entering a federal building. Philadelphia YMCA Lays Off 3,400; Philadelphia Stops Pursuing Hahnemann; Philabundance Temp. Closes

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA has laid off 3,400 workers due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. 700 of those employee were full-time. There are now just 61 employees left working across the organization's 16 branches and 12 early learning centers. They have all taken pay cuts. President and CEO Shaun Elliott has completely cut his pay and his top staff have cut their pay in half. Elliott said that 90% of the YMCA's revenue comes from the gym and child care. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced on Wednesday, 3/25, that the suspension of the celebration of all public Masses in the Archdiocese will continue until further notice and at least through Easter Sunday, 4/12. The Center City hospital slowly closed last summer after declaring bankruptcy.
