Philadelphia Police are investigating after a 16-year-old was killed and a 12-year-old was injured in a shooting in North Philadelphia. The shooting took place just after midnight on the 2700 block of North 19th Street. Police say that the shooter pulled up to the house where 16-year-old Marquese Houston and his friends were hanging out and opened fire on them sitting on the porch. Police in Bristol Township are now investigating after an attempted child luring incident occurred on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place on Glenrose Avenue near Malinda Drive in West Bristol. Philadelphia officials have gotten the approval from the Art Commision on Wednesday to start installing 100 kiosks around the city that will provide free public WiFi. The kiosks will provide free WiFi in Center City as well as other designated locations. The service will be provided and maintained by Intersection, which is a smart city tech and media company. Upper Merion Police have now charged and identified the robbery suspect who was shot by police at the King of Prussia Mall on Sunday. 23-year-old Kalin Jackson was shot at around 4 pm on Sunday in the parking garage near Gulph Road and Mall Boulevard. Jackson was wanted by police for allegedly jumping in the back seat of a woman's car at the mall, putting a gun to her head and demanding her purse. Philadelphia Police are now searching for the driver of a white van who is responsible for a hit and run that killed a man in Port Richmond. Police have now released photos of the suspected car and say that the driver is wanted for hitting and killing the victim, Eric Magny, on the 2200 block of East Allegheny Avenue back on October 14th. Police describe the vehicle as a white, 5 passenger Chevorlet Express van, with a broken headlight, and dark marks on the driver's side door. Read More

SEPTA officials have announced that a train stop along the Main Line will be shut down for the next few weeks due to construction. The Villanova stop on the Norristown High Speed Line will be closed over the next six weeks while the school works on connecting an overpass to a pedestrian walkway bridge. SEPTA officials say for an alternative route passengers can walk to the Stadium Station on Ithan Avenue south of Lancaster. The Villanova stop is set to reopen on December 11th. Read More

A young child was hit by a school bus in Camden on Thursday. The incident took place just before 5 p.m. at Alabama and Fairview Streets. Police stated that the 6-year-old boy got off the school bus he was on and began to walk across the street when he was then hit by a bus going in the opposite direction. The boy was taken to Cooper University Hospital with severe injuries. He is said to be in stable condition.

Jefferson Health has now announced they will be eliminating up to 600 jobs and half could be by laying off workers. The layoffs come after Jefferson Health grew into a 13 hospital system with 30,000 employees after merging with local hospitals, most recently including Kennedy Health System and Philadelphia University. City Officials have had a CPR training kiosk installed at the Independence Hall Visitors Center. The American Heart Association has been installing these kiosks all around the country that give a free 2-minute training on how to perform basic CPR The kiosk walks the user through each step of performing CPR, in case of an emergency.
