Sources have now stated that Temple will pick the University of Florida's defensive coordinator Geoff Collins as their new head football coach. After Matt Rhule left the Owls last week to coach at Baylor, Temple has been looking through potential candidates for the head coach position. Police are now investigating after a shooting occurred in the Olney section of Philadelphia on Monday. The incident happened on the 5900 block of North 3rd Street at around 5:15 pm. Police say that two men were sitting in their car when someone shot both of them. The victims are a 42-year-old man who was shot in the left arm, and a 41-year-old man who suffered a graze wound to the left wrist. A suspect was killed during a confrontation with a U.S. Marshal in Northeast Philadelphia Monday. The shooting happened on the 1300 block of Hellerman Street at around 10:20 am. The U.S. Marshal was serving a warrant to a suspect for a shooting that took place in July in Philadelphia. Officials say that the suspect drew a weapon out on the marshal, and the marshal pulled out his gun and shot him, killing the suspect. The suspect's weapon was recovered at the scene. The Eagles sideline was heated on Sunday afternoon after Redskin's safety Deshazor Everett laid a brutal hit on a defenseless Darren Sproles early in the fourth quarter. With just 12 minutes left in the quarter, Sproles was sprinting up field to catch a Redskin's punt. While Sproles was tracking the ball in the air, Everett full on tackled Sproles. Police say that three men masked men who were armed with ice picks broke into the home and started to ransack the first and second floors of the house. A father and son in Philadelphia have now been sentenced in a major insurance fraud case regarding their auto body shop. Ronald Galati Sr. and his son Ronald Galti Jr. own and operate American Collision Auto Body in Philadelphia. The two admitted to taking part in a ring of schemes to unnecessarily repair Philadelphia City vehicles. Ronald Galati Sr was sentenced to 14 1/2 to 29 years in jail. Police are now investigating after a woman was found dead in a home in Bucks County Thursday night. The woman has been identified as Rebecca Cope. Police have also identified Cope's 30-year-old son Zachary Cope, as the suspect in her death. Authorities say that Zachary Cope was spotted walking on the 200 block of Taylorsville Road, when he stopped a car and reportedly told the driver he had killed his mother. Officials have now indicted a South Jersey man on charges that he stole thousands of dollars from a youth football league. 49-year-old Michael DiFlorio of Williamstown, New Jersey, has been accused with embezzling more than $56,000. DiFlorio was the former treasurer of the South Jersey Elite Invitational Youth Football League.
