Three teens were killed and two other people were injured in a crash on Kelly Drive in Philadelphia on Wednesday night, 5/19. It happened just after 9 p.m. on the 4000 block of Kelly Drive near North Ferry Drive. Four teens were traveling eastbound into Center City in a 2006 Mazda. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced on Monday, 5/17, that he is lifting the outdoor mask mandate across the state effective immediately. However, the indoor mask mandate will stay in place for now, despite guidance from the CDC that says vaccinated people do not need masks indoors. A man survived after his car veered off the road and plunged into the Wissahickon Creek early Saturday morning, 5/15. It happened just after 5 a.m. on the 4600 block of Ridge Avenue in Roxbourough. The driver lost control and went off the road. The car landed on its roof on some rocks in the creek and water started filling the vehicle. Rescuers were able to get the man out in time. Philly Mayor Kenney says Partial Remains from MOVE Victims Have Been Found, Not Destroyed

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney announced on Friday night, 5/14, that the partial human remains of victims from the 1985 MOVE bombing investigation, previously believed to have been destroyed, have now been found. In 2017, former Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley ordered the cremation and disposal of those remains without notifying the family.
