The Haverford Spring Fest was everything all the hype made it out to be; a day filled with good food, good company, and great music.

Philadelphia Police have arrested two people and are searching for a third in connection to a violent assault on school police officers at Northeast High School on Monday. The attack happened around 3:30 p.m. on May 2nd on the corner of Cottman and Castor Avenues. The two officers were escorting a group of students to a SEPTA bus when they saw the suspects assaulting a student. Emergency crews found a green, oily sheen on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, the second time this week there appears to have been some kind of spill into the river. The substance spotted Thursday night smelled like diesel fuel, but authorities were still trying to figure out what it was and where it came from. City fire crews and U.S. Coast Guard officials are investigating.

Police have now arrested the man responsible for a brutal attack outside of a South Philadelphia bar. 21-year-old Alfredo Nicotra has been charged with the assault. Police say Nicotra got into an altercation with a man at the bar, hit him with a glass and started punching him. He is now facing many charges including aggravated assault.

A New Jersey Transit train crashed into a vehicle in Riverton, Burlington County on Thursday morning. It happened just before 10:30 a.m. near the Riverton Station along Main Street. The light-rail RiverLine train t-boned a Mercedes Benz station wagon. An elderly couple was trapped inside the wagon. They were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Turnpike 476 South Closed; SW Philly Street Collapses; Beyonce Adds Second Philadelphia Concert

The southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension have been closed while crews work to clean up an accident. A truck went over a guard rail and into a construction zone about 5 miles south of the Lansdale exit. Crews are also working to clean up at least two other crashes. Traffic is being detoured at the Quakertown interchange.

UPDATE: The accident has been cleared and the Northeast Extension southbound has been reopened, however delays continue.

Police are now investigating after a body was found in North East Philadelphia. The body was found yesterday at 7 A.M. on the 8100 block of Crispin Street. The man is believed to be in his mid 30's and was found only in his underwear. There is still no cause of death, but the medical examiner is still investigating.

65-year-old Michael Cohen of Bass River, NJ, told police that he was robbed at gunpoint on Monday of $150. He said it happened at approximately 11:25 a.m. on May 2nd on Route 9 and Ash Road in Bass River Township, Burlington County. He described his attacker as a black male in his mid/late 30's with an earring in his right ear, a nose ring, bald head, and goatee. The man also spoke with an English or British accent. Two Philadelphia school security officers were attacked yesterday after trying to break up a fight between two men outside of a pizza shop at the corner of Cottman and Castor. The fight started out as a brawl between two North East High School students, the security officers tried to break it up, and then 2 unidentified men started beating up the officers.
