A New Jersey Transit train crashed into a vehicle in Riverton, Burlington County on Thursday morning. It happened just before 10:30 a.m. near the Riverton Station along Main Street. The light-rail RiverLine train t-boned a Mercedes Benz station wagon. An elderly couple was trapped inside the wagon. They were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center. Two of the 35 passengers on the train were also injured. They were taken to Cooper University Hospital. All four suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Service was restored to the RiverLive around noon.

Schools in Ocean County, NJ, were back open on Thursday but the community is still on high alert as authorities search for an escaped inmate. 38-year-old Arthur Buckel was seen on surveillance video on Wednesday at the CVS/Pharmacy on West Bay Avenue in Barnegat Township. Police also found a stolen pickup truck they believe he was driving Wednesday morning. Buckel escaped from the Ancora unit of Bayside State Prison in Camden County on Tuesday. He was up for parole on May 21st, but now faces 3-5 years for escaping. Multiple agencies have been searching the area. Police say they will keep looking until he is found or they can confirm he left town.

A shot was fired during a road rage incident on the Blue Route (I-476) this afternoon in Montgomery County according to Pennsylvania State Police. It happened around 3 p.m. Thursday on the northbound Blue Route near the Schuylkill Expressway at mile marker 16.1 in West Conshohocken. Apparently a man driving a dark blue Lincoln Town Car fired at least one shot at a blue Mitsubishi Lancer. A bullet hit the car, but no one was hurt. The investigation is ongoing.

Phillies lost 4-0 to the Cardinals in St. Louis this afternoon.
