An advisory panel of independent medical experts have endorsed Johnson & Johnson's coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine after a public hearing on Friday, 2/26. The FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee voted 22-0 to recommend the vaccine for an Emergency Use Authorization concluding that the benefits of the vaccine outweighed the risks for adults. Philadelphia Police released images of three suspects and a vehicle in connection to last week's mass shooting at SEPTA's Olney Transportation Center. It happened around 2:50 p.m on Wednesday, 2/17, at Broad and Olney. Eight people were shot ages 17-71. No one was killed. Police combed through hours of surveillance footage from the area to find the images of the shooters. Two Delaware County brothers have admitted to setting their business on fire in Philadelphia causing extensive damage and displacing over 100 people in February 2018. Imad, 40, and Bahaa, 32, Dawara pled guilty to conspiracy to commit arson and conspiracy to defraud the United States. It happened on Feb 18, 2018, at 239 Chestnut Street. Police are searching for two suspects wanted for robbing and shooting a store employee in Warminster on Thursday afternoon, 2/25. It happened around 3:45 p.m. at the Metro PCS store on the 200 block of East County Line Road. The employee was shot in the stomach. The two men then grabbed merchandise and exited out the rear door. A bicyclist died after being struck by a SEPTA bus in Northeast Philadelphia on Wednesday evening 2/23. It happened around 7:40 p.m. on the 9900 block of Frankford Avenue in Torresdale. The unidentified male cyclist in his early 40's was on his bike when he was struck by the Route 66 bus. The man was taken to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital.
