Suspect Wanted in Philly Macy's Rape - Video; Doctor Stabbed By Patient; Teen Stabs Siblings in Park

Philadelphia Police have released updated video of a suspect wanted in the rape of a woman inside a bathroom at the Center City Macy's store on Sunday morning, 2/21. It happened between 11:30 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. on the 1300 block of Market Street. The suspect was waiting in a third-floor woman's bathroom for about 20 minutes before the victim entered. "A 55-year-old female who was shopping at the store with her husband, she decided to use the bathroom on the third floor. She went inside the bathroom and went into the stall, the offender jumped over the stall. He dragged her out of one stall into another stall where he then raped her," Philadelphia Police Capt. Mark Burgmann said. The suspect threatened her with kitchen utensils like long skewers or shish kabob sticks. He immediately fled and got on the Market-Frankford El at 13th Street at at 11:45 a.m. and got off at 52nd Street at 11:54 a.m.

UPDATE: The suspect was taken into custody at his Philadelphia home just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, 2/24.

He is described as a Black man in his 20s with a thin build and a unique walk. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants with white stripes on the left leg, black sneakers with white around the sole, three quarter length jacket with a hood and white writing on the left shoulder. He was also wearing a surgical mask.

A Philadelphia doctor was injured after she was stabbed by a patient at Pennsylvania Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, 2/23. It happened inside the hospital on the 800 block of Spruce Street in Center City. Police say that the female doctor was treating the suspect when they stabbed the doctor in the face and head. The doctor received swift care from hospital staff and is in stable condition. The patient is in policy custody. There is no word on what prompted the attack.

A 15-year-old has been arrested and charged after stabbing two of his siblings on a Montgomery County playground on Monday afternoon, 2/22. It happened around 5:20 p.m. on a playground at Oak Park Elementary School on the 500 block of Squirrel Lane in Hatfield Township. A 13-year-old boy was found with stab wounds to his chest, back, face, neck and hands. A 9-year-old girl had multiple stab wounds to her head. They were taken to a local hospital. The boy had surgery and is in critical, but stable condition. The girl was treated and released. Their older brother, who fled the scene, was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and other related crimes. He is being held at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bond. The motive for the attack is under investigation.
