Former Phillie Lenny Dykstra has been sentenced to six and a half months in prison for hiding possessions that were supposed to be included in his bankruptcy filing, World Series balls, bats that Dykstra sold off for his personal gain. He’ll serve his time concurrently with the time he is already serving for grand theft auto.

City Council is moving toward lowering the interest rates and penalties paid by tax delinquents, in hopes of getting more of them to pay up. The measure was approved in Committee and goes to the full council for a vote later this month. Much of the money owed to the city has been owed for decades and will likely never be recovered.

Philadelphia's legal and political community is mourning the death of Common Pleas judge Adam Beloff, whose body was found at his Ventnor, NJ home on Saturday after an apparent suicide. Ventnor police on Saturday responded to a call from the judge's home on Wellington Avenue and found him dead at the scene. Beloff, was serving his first term as a Common Pleas judge, presiding over cases in the criminal division.

Natalie Woollerton, the missing 16-year-old autistic girl from Ocean City, NJ, has been found safe and sound in Texas, OCNJ police announced Monday. Woollerton was first reported missing by her mother on Wednesday, November 28th. She left home driving the family's blue 2009 Lexus sedan. It is now official Kate Middleton and Prince William are having a Royal baby! The Palace confirmed Monday that the Duchess of Cambrige is indeed pregnant. The little one will be the third heir in line to the throne of England behind Prince Charles and Prince William (Harry gets bumped to 4th). After the Eagles loss to the Cowboys last night, the Eagles announced they were firing defensive line coach, Jim Washburn. His replacement is a familiar face to the Eagles, Tommy Brasher. Brasher coached the Eagles defensive line in 1985 and from 1999 to 2005.

More than 100 Paulsboro residents will be kept out of their homes for several more days as crews work to clear a hazardous gas that spewed from a ruptured freight train car. The tanker that ruptured Friday contained 25,000 gallons of vinyl chloride, some of which spewed into the air. The remaining gas in the tanker had turned into a solid and settled at the bottom of the tanker. About 100 residents living within a 12 block radius of the train derailment in Paulsboro will not be allowed back to their homes until at least Saturday, December 8th. They are staying at area hotels or with family and friends. The ruptured tanker containing the hazardous vinyl chloride is still sitting in the water, officials started to remove the now solidified chemicals on Sunday night. A mother and her boyfriend have been charged with the murder of a 5 year old boy in North Philadelphia. Authorities say that 23-year-old Lashay Patterson, and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Christian Patrick beat and burned the boy that led to his death early Saturday morning.
