Police in Delaware County are searching for a suspect in connection with an attempted sexual assault inside an apartment August 25th in Radnor. The female victim heard knocking on her interior bedroom door. As she opened her door, she was knocked to the floor by a suspect who was naked from the waist down. Hundreds honored Police Officer Moses Walker Jr. today and yesterday during memorial services for the slain policeman at Deliverance Evangelistic Church in North Philadelphia. Yesterday a horse-drawn procession led his body to the church so that mourners from across the city could pay solemn respects. Chalfont Police Officer Shot, Cutural Institutions and Made In America Festival

A police officer in Chalfont, Bucks County has been shot and there is a manhunt underway for the shooter. Between 3 and 3:30 this morning, Officer Jon Cousin was on routine patrol when he saw a car parked in the lot of the Lenape Valley Swim Club.The operator of the suspicious vehicle rushed him while the passenger got out of the vehicle and took one shot. Officer Cousin was struck in the chest. He was wearing a vest. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital, where he is in good condition.Read More

Officer Moses Walker Homicide Suspects In Custody, Viewing Procession, Penn State Reimage Plans

Philadelphia homicide detectives said on Sunday the second suspect in the murder of Officer Moses Walker, Jr. is in police custody in Montgomery, Alabama. 19-year-old Chancier McFarland, turned himself in to federal authorities after he had been on the run since the August 18th shooting in which Officer Walker was gunned down. Police now have in custody both suspects in the murder of Officer Walker. Police locked up his alleged accomplice, 23-year-old Rafael Jones, on Wednesday.

Second Suspect, Chancier McFarland, in Custody; Officer Moses Walker Jr. Funeral Arrangements

The second suspect in Officer Moses Walker Jr.'s murder is in custody. Chancier McFarland, 19, has been sought by police since Walker's murder a week ago, but he is currently in police custody in Montgomery, AL, after being on the run. His criminal partner, Rafael Jones, has been in custody since Wednesday. Jones has apparently confessed to his involvement in the early morning, August 18th murder and robbery of the off duty Police Officer. He was charged and arraigned on Friday.

Byard Lancaster, Philadelphia avant-garde jazz legend, Passes Away

Philadelphia jazz legend Byard Lancaster passed away on Thursday after suffering from pancreatic cancer. Lancaster was a master saxophonist and flautist who performed with many other of his better known jazz contemporaries such as Archie Shepp, Elvin Jones, Sunny Murrary, McCoy Tyner, Khan Jamal and Sun Ra. He traveled the world as an ambassador of free form avant-garde jazz spreading the word of Philadelphia music, but always returned home to perform in the streets, clubs, and subways. Read More

Last night, Doylestown's Circa Survive started their CD release tour at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The Christimas Lights and Bear Hands opened the show. Their 4th studio album, Violent Waves, will officially be released on August 28th but physical and digital copies were available for purchase at their show.

Neil Armstrong, Astronaut, First Man on Moon, Passes Away today

Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, passed away today at the age of 82 a few weeks after heart surgery. He stepped onto the moon with the words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" on July 20th 1969 during the Apollo 11 mission.

Armstrong was born in Wapakoneta, Ohio in 1930. He studied aerospace engineering at Purdue University but was called up to the Navy before he could finish his degree (he eventually returned and graduated in 1955).... Read More

Eagles Great Steve Van Buren Passes, 9 West Nile Cases in PA, $3 million Ben Franklin Bust Stolen

One of the Philadelphia Eagles all time greats passed away Thursday evening of pneumonia in Lancaster. Steve Van Buren was a member of the Eagles' 1948 and 1949 NFL championship teams. He was drafted in 1944 out of Louisiana State University and immediately made an impact. The bruising running back was the first Eagle to be inducted into the NFL Half of Fame in Canton, OH, in 1965.
