At least one person was killed and 7 others critically injured as a total of 37 were injured when a suspected drunk driver jumped a curb on Las Vegas Blvd near the Planet Hollywood Resort around the time the Miss Universe Pageant was wrapping up a live broadcast inside. Police say female driver went up onto the sidewalk then back onto the road twice as she hit several people. Officers also confirm a three year old toddler was in the back seat of the car.

Three women are dead after a fiery crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning. The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. on the 8100 block of Torresdale Avenue near Rhawn Street in the city's Holmesburg section. The women were traveling northbound in a black Chevrolet Camaro at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, crossed into oncoming travel, and slammed into a parked, unoccupied tractor-trailer. The Camden County Police Department was searching Saturday for a 13-year-old boy named Dontae Howard. They say that he was located around midnight Sunday. He went missing from his home in the 1100 block of Kaighn Avenue in the Gateway neighborhood. He is described a black male, 5 feet 5 inches, 100 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. After deliberating for three days, a Philadelphia jury found 25-year-old Kathryn Knott guilty of four misdemeanor counts but acquitted her of any felony charges related to an attack on a gay couple last year in Center City. Knott was found guilty of two counts of reckless endangerment (one for each victim), and one count of simple assault and one count of conspiracy to commit simple assault for one of the victims. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services has ordered the closure of a daycare in North Philadelphia. The decision came down after a ten month old child died at Sisters Childcare on Thursday. Police are calling the baby's death suspicious. The cause of death remains unknown. Meanwhile, state documents revealed more than two dozen problems with the day care including improper worker training and background checks. Police are investigating a stabbing right outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center around 10:30 Thursday night. When police arrived on the scene, they found a man on the ground struggling with two suspects. The 44-year-old victim was stabbed at least two times in his head and upper body and is in critical condition at Hahnemann Hospital. Police say they have two suspects in custody and are looking at nearby surveillance cameras for help in their investigation.

A New Jersey state trooper was killed this morning after his cruiser slammed into a telephone police in Salem County. 30-year-old Trooper Eli McCarson was responding to a domestic violence call when his car went off the right side of the road. The front-end was destroyed and the doors were jammed trapping him inside. Rescuers were eventually able to pry open the doors and transport him to Salem Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Federal authorities are looking into whether a fire that destroyed a church was intentionally set. Flames broke out at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist church in Wilmington, Delaware, around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night. It's the second fire at the church in two weeks. The last fire was back on December 2nd. The church's reverend says he does not believe the fires are random. The fires are under investigation.

Facebook is not changing its "real name" policy but the social network will allow users to provide more information about their circumstances, such as whether they are victims of abuse, transgender, or Native American.
