The Super Bowl is coming and this year, worth looking forward to. Two of the oldest NFL teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will battle it out. Unfortunately it won't be on a frozen tundra. How about turning off the color and watching the game in black and white for that 1960's throwback... Read More

A tip of the cap to Jay Wright for the patient pace set by Villanova in their upset victory over Syracuse. The Cats took to Orange out of their high speed running attack and prevailed again at the Carrier Dome. So much for home court... Read More

Villanova's Matt Szczur chooses MLB

by: quadpain - Huntingdon Valley, PA
started: 01/22/11 3:14 pm | updated: 01/23/11 9:24 am

Many college students in their senior year around this time of year are busy with interviews trying to land a job once they graduate. Giving the current job market, those opportunities are slim and many future grads may not even get a job in their field or one at all right away. However, Matt Szczur had the luxury of entering this year knowing he had at least one job, and a pretty good chance at another, both that would make him very rich. That's not to mention that those two jobs were... Read More

Philadelphia Union a bunch of Bimbo's

by: quadpain - Huntingdon Valley, PA
started: 01/11/11 12:58 pm | updated: 01/11/11 12:58 pm

Just say "Beembo"! The Union's new jersey sponsor was just announced as Bimbo Bakeries USA for the next 4 years. The parent company is a Mexican bakery and apparently we're all supposed to get over the obvious American slang reading of the company name and pronounce it in Spanish.
