The lineup for this year's Made in America Festival has been announced. The music fest will once again take over the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Saturday September 3rd and Sunday September 4th over Labor Day Weekend. Rihanna and Coldplay will headline this year. Neighbors called authorities to a Bucks County home where a man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager whose parents say they gave her to him when she was 14. The young girls were seen outside the house with boarded windows and high weeds. On Thursday officials found 51-year-old Lee Kaplan in the home along with the girls, ranging in age from six months to 18 years. A Philadelphia police officer is recovering from injuries suffered in a car crash Sunday evening in Olney. An SUV struck the officer's marked unit, forcing the vehicle to crash into a telephone pole just after 7 p.m. at Front Street and Champlost Avenue. The 35th district officer's condition is not known at this time. People in the striking vehicle were also injured.

The Firefly Music Festival has returned to the Woodlands at Dover Downs for its 5th straight year with 90,000 people expected to attend. The 2016 edition will feature the usual amenities and attractions. Soda Tax Passed, New NJ Attorney General

Philadelphia has become the first major U.S. city to pass a tax on soda. City council approved the 1.5-cent-per-ounce tax on all sweetened beverages by 13-4, a wider margin than expected. The tax is expected to raise $91-million. The mayor plans to sign the bill Monday, but it won't take effect until January, because he anticipated a court challenge and says he's ready to fight.

Philadelphia became the first major U.S. city to pass a tax on soda and other sugary drinks when City Council voted 13-4 in favor this afternoon. Mayor Jim Kenney had proposed a 3 cents/ounce tax on sugary drinks that would primarily pay for universal Pre-K, community schools, and recreation centers. Some of the funds would also go to bolstering the city fund balance. Council amended the bill to 1.5 cents/ounce on sugary drinks and diet beverages. This comes at the end of months of...
