The number of millionaires in Philadelphia is on the rise. According to Forbes Magazine, the Philadelphia area has the sixth most millionaires in the country - topping Boston and Houston. High Net Worth Individuals are defined an having at least $1 million in investable assets not counting a primary home. Philadelphia School District Documents Released

According to the Educational Accountability Agreement signed last month by the city, city officials were recently granted look at internal Philadelphia School District documents, providing a level of access that has long evaded those trying to keep tabs on the district.

Some of the findings have been posted as promised by Mayor Nutter including:

Netflix Rates Up, Approval Down

This week, Netflix announced it would raise its prices by up to 60 percent for the millions of subscribers who want to rent DVDs by mail and watch movies online.

Netflix will be splitting up its two services, which means that subscribers who want both streaming video and DVD-by-mail access will have to get separate plans that cost at least $16 per month total.

In recent years, the soup maker has reduced salt and sodium for health benefits. But the new CEO wants to refocus on soup that tastes good. A Philadelphia Parking Authority officer is losing his job for going on a verbal anti-gay tirade this week. The PPA officer, Joseph DeJohn had parked his vehicle in a no parking zone at 6th and Carpenter Streets in Queen Village. When he noticed two men taking a photograph of the PPA vehicle, DeJohn lashed out, calling them faggots and suggested they take pictures of themselves performing sex acts on each other. After months and months of work and deals being worked out and locations scouted, it's finally a done deal. At 1026 Spring Garden St, most recently the site of the old Spaghetti Warehouse on the north edge of Center City, 'Union Transfer ' has officially been announced, with a month of shows starting this fall booked and ready to be played.
