Philadelphia Police are questioning one person of interest and have identified two others in connection with the fatal stabbing and wounding of members of rapper Nicki Minaj's tour group on Wednesday. 29-year-old Devon Pickett was stabbed and killed and 27-year-old Eric Reed was injured and hospitalized early Wednesday morning during an argument outside of a bar on Stenton Ave in West Oak Lane. Officials say a cab driver was trapped inside his vehicle and had to be rescued after two cars collided early Friday morning in West Philadelphia. This happened just before 3:30 a.m. at 63rd and Chestnut Streets. The cab driver was trapped for about 20 minutes and had to be cut out from the car. He was taken to Presbyterian Hospital with fractured arms and is in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle has been arrested on DUI. He reportedly suffered minor injuries from the air... McDaniels before the trade deadline yesterday. In exchange the Sixers got a couple of backup players and draft picks. Yesterday's fatal stabbing at a meat processing plant in Montgomery County apparently started as a relatively harmless prank earlier this week. On Tuesday, the victim, 25-year-old Danny Vazquez, tried to pull a chair out from under the suspect, 32-year-old Peter Jok Atem. The stretch of subfreezing weather has started to slow up the water works not just in homeowners pipes, but in mother natures plumbing as well. Area water ways big and small have been grinding to an icy halt. The victims in an early morning bar stabbing in West Mount Airy have been identified as members of rapper Nicki Minaj's tour team. The incident happened after 2:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Che Bar & Grill on the 6300 block of Stenton Avenue near Johnson Street in Philadelphia. An argument inside the bar made its way outside to the street where 27-year-old Eric Parker and 29-year-old De'Von "Day Day" Pickett were stabbed by a third man.

Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent, the traditional 40-day period of fasting, prayer and penitence before Easter.
