Pothole Patrols, Cayman Naib Suicide, Black Madam Sentencing

Pothole patrols are working non-stop these days, as the melting snow gives way to gaping craters in the roads. Potholes are the bane of drivers everywhere. Crews were plowing snow last week, and now they're shoveling hot asphalt into potholes on those same roads. Some crews expect to fill 300 to 500 a day. To report a pothole in Camden County, call the public works department at 856-566-2980. In Pennsylvania, you can report a pothole to PennDOT at 1-800-FIX-ROAD.

Authorities say 13-year-old Delaware County boy Cayman Naib, who went missing last week, died of an apparent suicide. His death is raising concerns about teenage suicide. Catherine Siciliano with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Philadelphia says too often students feel bogged down with school work, extra-curricular activities and their personal life. Siciliano says parents need to be vigilant about their child’s behavior, and to watch for different moods or behaviors in their kids.

Sentencing is scheduled for June for Padge Victoria Windslowe, the ‘Black Madam,’ convicted yesterday of murder and aggravated assault in a bizarre case of black market buttocks enhancement injections. The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of 35 to 70 years in prison. Prosecutor Bridget Kirn says the defendant’s motive was money for her recording studio – performing under the name “Black Madam” – and for expensive cars.
