Police say an 80 year old woman was carjacked after eating Easter breakfast with her family Sunday morning outside of the Metro Diner in Brooklawn, New Jersey. According to police, the suspect was caught on surveillance video robbing a Rite Aid, located next to the diner on Saturday. Police say when the suspect attempted to return the stolen products Sunday morning, the cashier recognized him from the surveillance tape. After being recognized, the suspect allegedly fled the pharmacy and ran to Metro Diner where he pulled the 80-year-old victim out of her gray, 2008 Honda Accord. Police say the suspect was last seen driving northbound on Route 130 toward Camden. The suspect (seen in surveillance photo below) has been described as 20 to 30-year-old, white male with facial hair and a lip piercing. He was wearing a gray hoodie with the hood up, black baseball cap, blue jeans and black sneakers. Police say the victim was taken to the hospital by her family. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

UPDATE: Brooklawn Carjacker Sketch

A southern New Jersey physician who owns a business that provides home-based medical services has admitted billing Medicare for lengthy visits to elderly patients that they did not receive. Lori Reaves recently pleaded guilty to a complaint charging her with health care fraud. The 52-year-old Winslow Township resident faces up to 10 years in prison when she’s sentenced July 13. Reaves owns the Hammonton-based Visiting Physicians of South Jersey. Federal prosecutors say she admitted lying about services the firm provided from early 2008 to late 2011. They say she used Medicare billing codes for problems requiring more than two hours of service when she actually spent 30 to 45 minutes with each patient. They say Reaves received at least $511,068 in criminal profits.

Police say an intruder was killed while trying to rob a home in South Philadelphia along the 1400 block of South 6th Street. The 63-year-old homeowner tells police that two unknown men broke in through a second floor bathroom window and confronted him. Police say a struggle ensued and that is when the homeowner says he retrieved his gun and began firing shots at the intruders, who fled back out the bathroom window. Authorities found one of the suspects unresponsive on the roof . He was pronounced dead at the scene. The second suspect got away. He has been described as a clean-shaven, white male in his 30’s, with a medium build. He was wearing dark clothing. Police are still investigating. There was no initial word on any charges against the homeowner.
