President Donald Trump has signed the $2.2 trillion CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) on Friday afternoon, 3/27. The United States Congress approved the act by voice vote earlier Friday. Rep. Megabus has suspended all service in and out of New York City through Thursday, April 9th. This is due to federal recommendations that anyone traveling from NYC should self-quarantine for 14-days. The closed Glen Mills School in Delaware County will be turned into a FEMA medical center to treat coronavirus COVID-19 patients. A Federal Medical Station will be set up in the school's recreation center which is around 86,000 square feet. It will be used for surge capacity. The Greater Philadelphia YMCA has laid off 3,400 workers due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. 700 of those employee were full-time. There are now just 61 employees left working across the organization's 16 branches and 12 early learning centers. They have all taken pay cuts.
