Flyers Closeout Penguins, Carter and Sanborn Co-Host Passes, Body Found In Abandoned Phila. Home

Flyers 5-1 over the Penguins for a closeout win at the Wells Fargo Center to win the best-of-seven series 4-2. It marked the first time the Flyers beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs since the 1999-2000 season, when the Flyers advanced to the Eastern Conference finals. And, it's the first time the Flyers beat the Crosby-led Penguins in the playoffs.

Former radio personality Brian Carter died Sunday morning of a massive heart attack. Carter co-hosted “Carter and Sanborn in the Morning” which aired on Power 99 from 1987 to 1999 and on WDAS FM in 2006. Carter was 56.



Philadelphia police are investigating the discovery of a body inside an abandoned home Sunday night. A passerby found the body inside the living room of an a home in the unit block of South Salford Street. When medics arrived, they found the 30-year-old victim with several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at 7:30pm, police have not recovered a weapon, and no arrests have been made.
