South Philly Burglaries, Romney/Santorum, Stinson Ponzi Scheme

Philadelphia Police have a warning out to residents after two South Philadelphia burglaries last week. Police say suspects, pretending to be public utility workers, went into two homes and left with cash and valuables. The two similar incidents happened in homes about two miles apart in South Philly.

Mitt Romney said he spoke to Rick Santorum Tuesday morning about Santorum’s decision to quit the race. Romney has been the front runner but still Romney indicated Santorum holds some amount of influence. The question remains, will Santorum’s supporters come out in full force and support Romney with organizing and donating money towards his fundraising.

A Main Line man who conned investors out of millions through a Ponzi scheme will be spending virtually the rest of his life in prison. 57-year-old Robert Stinson got a prison term of more than 33 years behind bars. The victims lost, in total, about $14 million dollars.
