CBS 3 reports Lenfest Broadcasting announced the launched of the first-ever over-the-air broadcast television network geared specifically toward an African American audience.

Bounce TV is a new network created to provide African Americans with positive, educational programming featuring people of color.

The 24/7 channel will show motion pictures, HBCU sporting events, documentaries, local programming and more. Martin Luther King III is one of Bounce TV’s Board of Directors.

Bounce TV is now available on sub channel 44.2, which means you don’t need cable to watch it.
The company is in talks with Comcast and expects Bounce TV to be accessible through cable in the New Year.
