Alice's Restaurant is based on a true incident in the life of Arlo Guthrie that began on Thanksgiving Day 1965. Released in 1967, with its repetitive and catchy ragtime guitar backing, Arlo tells the tale of being arrested for illegally dumping some of Alice's garbage after discovering that the town dump was closed for the holiday.

Iradiophilly.com will air the entire 18:34 musical monologue, Alice’s Restauarant Massacree at Noon and 6pm this Thanksgiving on these iradiophilly stations: Bellbottoms, Libra, and Ziggy.

Join us, and share your Thanksgiving traditions, photos, or videos at the post on iradiophilly.com. We are Philadelphia.
