Wilmington Police say a 15 year old boy was shot on the 900 block of Clifford Brown Walk on Thursday. The young man was taken to Christiana Hospital and died as a result of his injuries. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective McKenzie Kirlin at 302-576-3653 or the department’s Homicide Hotline at 302-576-3939. Police say that information leading to an arrest and conviction could lead to a $10,000 reward. Howard High School mourns the loss of another student after Amy Joyner-Francis, a 16-year-old girl who attended the high school, died in April after an alleged assault that took place in a girl’s bathroom at the school.

Presumptive GOP Presidential Candidate Donald Trump made two campaign stops in New Jersey Thursday. One was a private fundraiser for the Republican State Committee. The other, a $200-a-head event just outside Trenton to help Governor Chris Christie retire outstanding debt from his unsuccessful Presidential campaign. Outside the local National Guard Armory, over 100 people protested Trump’s appearance, many of them wearing Clinton or Sanders campaign material.

Folks are setting up in Northern Liberties for the annual “Preakness at the Piazza.” It’s the fourth year for the big party. All the profits go to the National MS Society. Several thousand people are expected with the Preakness Stakes showing on the Jumbotron. Tickets for Saturday’s event are around $75.
