Philadelphia Mayor-elect Jim Kenney and all the members of city council will take the oath of office, Monday morning. The inauguration is in the Academy of Music, but it's, technically, a session of city council. Governor Wolf and Senator Bob Casey will attend, along with all living former mayors. When it's over, the newly-sworn officials will walk to City Hall, where Kenney plans to kick off his term by signing a series of executive orders.

An independent pro wrestling company based in Philadelphia for more than a decade continues to slam industry traditions. After applying a submission hold on male wrestler Hallowicked, Princess Kimber Lee of Chikara Wrestling is the first female to ever be named the main champion of a mixed gender wrestling company. Mike Quackenbush is the founder of locally based Chikara. He admits the matches are performance art and fans are there to be entertained, not to be judges of realism. For more information on upcoming matches and even classes go to Chikarapro.com.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, finished in first place for a third consecutive weekend, earning an estimated $88-million. Installment number seven in the franchise, Star Wars: The Force Awakens continued its assault on the record books, eclipsing the $700-million mark in just over two weeks. With the second largest January weekend in movie history, the runaway blockbuster is close to passing Avatar as the biggest domestic commercial release of all time. The holdover Will Ferrell-Mark Wahlberg comedy, Daddy’s Home, was the runner-up with $29-million, followed by Quentin Tarantino’s western,The Hateful Eight with $16-million; and then Sisters, the Tina Fey-Amy Poehler comedy, with $13-million, good for fourth place.
