Philadelphia's bike share program known as "Indego" which launched last April is proving to be a popular mode of transpiration particularly on weekends near the cities historic attractions. The mayor's office of transportation and utilities said the numbers show Indego bike stations near Independence Mall are some of the busiest in the city. There are about 600 Indego bikes with more than 60 stations position throughout the city with more planned for the future.

Sunday was the annual Burger Brawl in South Philadelphia. Area chefs dished out their best burger to benefit literacy and technology programs for Philly public schools. It all started when founder Rob Wasserman wanted to raise money for his son’s school. This year, the money will go to building a hybrid tech library at two elementary schools. The event raised more than $200,000 dollars. The winner for ‘People’s Choice’ was Blue Duck, and for judge’s choice, the winner was Village Whiskey.

Jurassic World – the third sequel to Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park – took the box office crown on its weekend debut as it earned an estimated $205-million on its opening weekend. Second place went to the Melissa McCarthy comedy, Spy, which took in another $16-million. Third belonged to the disaster thriller, San Andreas. It totaled $11-million. And rounding out the top five were the sequels Insidious: Chapter 3 and Pitch Perfect 2 with $7-million and $6-million, respectively.
