Utility companies and regulators say members of the public should not be afraid to call 9-1-1 if they are suspicious when someone claiming to be a utility worker shows up at their door looking to get into their home. A coalition called 'The Keystone Alliance to Stop Utility Imposters' says incidents involving criminals posing as utility workers is increasing in general, and tends to spike in warm weather months. The group says it’s rare for a utility worker to show up at your door without an appointment, and if that happens, always ask for photo ID before letting them in. And if you’re still suspicious, Public Utility Commissioner Pam Witmer says don’t hesitate to call 9-1-1, that’s one reason why the coalition is working with law enforcement.

Police have made two arrest Monday morning for vandalism. Officials say the men were throwing debris onto the streets from a building under construction on Broad and Arch Street in Center City. This happened shortly after 1 am Monday morning. Police found the two men using search dogs hiding inside the vacant building.
