UPDATE Mon. 3/9: Autopsy Report: Cause of Death Ruled Suicide

Newtown Township Police are looking for a missing 8th grader and are asking the public's help in finding him. 13-year-old Cayman Naib has been missing since 6:30 pm Wednesday March 4th. He is a student at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr. Naib is described as 5'7", 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. was last seen wearing a grey, down winter jacket, black ski pants and hiking boots. He did not have his wallet or phone with him when he left. Police believe he may be in the Radnor/Wayne area or may have purchased a train ticket to Philadelphia. A Philadelphia Police officer was shot three times including in the head during an exchange of gunfire at 22nd and Lehigh. It happened after 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Game Stop store on the 2100 block of Lehigh St. Officers were at the store, which has been the scene of recent robberies, and encountered two suspects in the middle of an armed robbery. The police and suspects exchanged gunfire. The officer was critically wounded. He was taken to Temple University hospital by fellow officers. The two suspects have been taken into custody. One of the suspects was also wounded and was taken to Einstein Medical Center. The two suspects are brothers. Two weapons were recovered.

UPDATE 7:50pm: Mayor Michael Nutter announced that 30-year-old Officer Robert Wilson III died at 6:25 pm. He was an 8 year veteran and had a family (a 9-year-old son, a 1-year-old, and a grandmother). He succumbed to multiple gun shot wounds. His partner, Officer Damian Stephenson, was in the car and Wilson was inside the Game Stop when the two suspects entered the store and announced the robbery. The gunfight ensued. The officers are assigned to the 22nd District. That is the same district testing police body cameras, however Commissioner Ramsey could not say if these officers were wearing one at the time. The store does have surveillance video. He described Wilson as a dedicated, brave, and outstanding officer. A long police procession made its way through the city Thursday evening as an ambulance transporting Officer Wilson's body made it's way to the Medical Examiner's Office.

UPDATE 3/6 1:00 pm: Brothers, Ramone Williams and Carlton Hipps, have been charged with first-degree murder.

The roof and back end of a five story building collapsed on Thursday afternoon in Kensington. It happened at Turner Street and North 2nd Street around 2:00 p.m. Bricks and debris could be seen on the street below. The building is owned by a community development corporation and is used as offices and art studios. There was only one person on the third floor at the time and they were not injured. The building was undergoing renovations. The Department of Licenses & Inspections is investigating the cause.
