Two armed men robbed a Chickie's & Pete's in Drexel Hill, Delaware County Sunday morning. The gunmen entered from a side door and walked right to the manager's office, demanding money while putting a gun to her head. After she brought them to the safe, the suspects reportedly stole over $16,000 as well as night receipts. One of the gunmen locked the manager, along with three other employees in a freezer. The four employees were found by the kitchen manager, who showed up a short time later. The gunmen got away and police are now reviewing surveillance video as an investigation continues.

Police in Bucks County brought two people in for questioning in connection with a brutal beating and murder of a man in Morrisville, while they are still searching for a third suspect. The murder took place Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. on West Post Road. They say the victim, a hispanic male in his 30’s, was riding in a van with three other men when he was attacked. The victim was found with severe head injuries as well as stab wounds in and around his chest and back. Police say this was not a random crime — that the victim and the attackers all knew each other and the attack was premeditated.

Thanksgiving’s over a month away, as is the Eagles-Cowboys game in Dallas. Yet the halftime entertainment has been announced. Rapper, Pitbull will perform at halftime of the Thanksgiving clash on November 27th. Pitbull’s newest album, Globalization, will be released on November 24th.

Weather, October 20

Partly Cloudy. High 63 in Center City.
