Longtime editorial cartoonist with the Philadelphia Inquirer and Pulitzer Prize-winner Tony Auth has died after a two-year battle with brain cancer. Tony began his career at the Inquirer in 1971. After leaving the Inquirer in 2012, Auth went on to become the artist-in-residence at Newsworks/WHYY. In addition to Monday's coverage, the Inquirer will likely run several pages of in-depth discussion on Tony Auth’s works in Sunday’s 'Currents' Section. Tony Auth was 72 years old.

A pregnant woman has died, and the baby she was carrying is in critical condition after a shooting in the Frankford section of Philadelphia Sunday morning. The gunman fired about a dozen shots at an unknown target and the victim, hundreds of yards away, was shot in the face. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Megan Doto. Neighbors say she was eight months pregnant. There have been no arrests and no weapon has been recovered.

The death of a Pennsylvania State trooper was on the minds of those who gathered in Bucks County Sunday to honor a native son killed in the line of duty two years ago. The Hartsville Fire company was filled with those who knew and loved Officer Brad Fox, killed while serving Plymouth Township. He grew up in Warminster and so, on what would have been his 37th birthday, Route 263, from West Street Road to West Bristol Road, was officially renamed the Bradley M. Fox Memorial Highway.
