Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect accused of knocking a deli employee unconscious during a robbery Tuesday afternoon at the M&M Deli in Philadelphia's Roxborough neighborhood. According to police, the suspect walked directly behind the counter, allegedly pointing the handgun at the 50-year-old employee, and began going through his pockets then taking money from the cash register. The suspect then began beating the employee, punching him repeatedly in his head knocking him unconscious. After taking about $1,500 in cash and merchandise, police say the suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police are investigating after three unlit molotov cocktails were reportedly thrown at a home in Philadelphia’s Lawncrest neighborhood. It happened at the 6000 block of Reach Street. According to police, plastic water bottles filled with household chemicals and aluminum foil splattered when they hit the wall. Police say there was no fire or flame and no damage to property. Philadelphia Police and the Bomb Squad are investigating.

Cherry Hill Township will host its inaugural Restaurant Week from Sunday, Aug. 10 to Saturday, Aug. 16. Participating restaurants will offer a three-course prix fixe dinner menu ($25 or $35), with lunch options available as well. This year’s participating restaurants include Farm & Fisherman, Toscana, Dream Cuisine, Seasons 52, among others. The township says more information including a Restaurant Week website and social media pages will be available later this summer.
