Diner en Blanc Coming Soon, Keystone Watch Case Factory Redesign, Pleasantville Crash Third Death

Diner en Blanc, an impromptu dinner soiree by way of Paris, is coming to Philadelphia for a third year. The pop-up al fresco event is set to return for 2014, and the wait list officially opened Tuesday. The 2014 date is set to be released in June, but the location of the event will remain a secret until the day of the dinner. Last year, thousands signed up for the all-white dinner party, which eventually happened at JFK Bridge at 30th Street.

Since the Keystone Watch Case company factory’s closure in the 1950’s its building has fallen into disrepair. Inside are an engineering firm and the Riverside Historical Society’s museum. New life could be coming soon to the Burlington County building and revolutionizing Riverside once again. A New-York based firm Simshabs Partners submitted an application to redevelop the site into 64 luxury apartments. Township officials say it could be an economic game changer.

A third person has died as a result of injuries suffered in a Memorial Day afternoon crash between a car and a New Jersey Transit bus in Pleasantville, NJ. Authorities confirm that 16-year-old Amber Fernandez, who was in the car when it crossed the center line and collided with the bus on Franklin Boulevard, died Monday night in Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, in Atlantic City. Two other passengers, 18-year-old Tevin Campbell and 14-year-old Kira Strider, were pronounced dead at the scene of the Monday afternoon accident.
