The members of Fleetwood Mac announced this weekend that the band will be canceling all of their upcoming tour dates in Australia and New Zealand, scheduled for November and December. The band explained, "John McVie, one of the co-founding and original members of Fleetwood Mac is now scheduled to be in treatment for cancer during that period of time." The band has yet to comment on the status of their scheduled show in Las Vegas on Dec. 30.

Chris Brown was arrested in Washington D.C. Sunday morning for felony assault after allegedly attacking a man outside the W Hotel at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:30 a.m. Brown reportedly began punching the man after the situation got heated. Officials believe he was not under the influence of anything at the time of the incident. Brown is still on probation for the Rihanna beating case. If he did violate his probation with this incident, worst case scenario, Brown could be sentenced to nearly four years in prison.

Lou Reed died Sunday. As leader of the Velvet Underground and as a solo artist, he was the father of indie rock, and an ancestor of punk, New Wave and the alternative rock movements of the 1970s, ’80s and beyond. He influenced generations of musicians from David Bowie and R.E.M. to the Talking Heads and Sonic Youth. Reed had been in frail health for months and died in Southampton, N.Y., of an ailment related to his recent liver transplant. Lou Reed was 71 years old.
