Wilmington Indecent Exposure, NJ Casino Layoffs, Corbett Hires Bill Lamb

Police are investigating two indecent exposure incidents reported on the same block in Wilmington on the 1400 block of St. Elizabeth Street. Officers responded Tuesday night to a 911 call for a suspicious person masturbating as he looked through a neighbor’s window. The suspect fled after the resident started banging on the window.

Seasonal layoffs at struggling Atlantic City casinos are coming a little sooner than usual. More than 300 people are being let go at Revel and the two Trump properties. Most knew they’d be laid off, but not this soon after Labor Day. This comes as Atlantic City’s largest casino union, Local 54, complains about Revel, the one property they don’t represent.

Republican Gov. Tom Corbett’s office announced Thursday it has hired a well-known lawyer from outside the government to lead his defense of the state’s same-sex marriage ban in a federal lawsuit. The Office of General Counsel said West Chester lawyer Bill Lamb, a former state Supreme Court justice, was hired to be lead counsel at a rate of $400 an hour. His associates will be paid $325 an hour.
