Teresa Heinz Kerry, the wife of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, is hospitalized at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. A spokesman for John Kerry says Heinz Kerry was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital on Sunday night after being stabilized by doctors at Nantucket Cottage Hospital. The 74-year-old Heinz Kerry was taken to the emergency room in Nantucket, accompanied by her husband, after 3:30 p.m. Sunday. A hospital spokesman said she arrived at that facility in critical condition before being stabilized by doctors.

Police and team officials say New York Giants linebacker Dan Connor was arrested at Philadelphia International Airport after federal authorities alleged that a switchblade was found in his luggage. A police spokeswoman said Sunday that a Transportation Security Administration officer spotted the knife on an X-ray machine monitor as Connor was trying to enter an airport terminal at 9 a.m. Saturday. Police were called and the 27-year-old Connor, of Charlotte, N.C., was arrested and charged with possession of an offensive weapon. The police spokeswoman said he was released on his own recognizance.

Trenton police say a city resident has died after being shot on a street in New Jersey’s capital city. Mercer County prosecutors say 21-year-old Thomas Barnes was shot in the chest late Saturday in the area of Stuyvesant and Exton Avenues. Barnes then ran to his nearby home but soon collapsed in front of the residence. Barnes’ death marks the city’s 20th homicide in 2013.
