HBO and James Gandolfini's managers say the actor famous for his role in "The Sopranos" as Tony Soprano has died in Italy. The cable channel, and managers Mark Armstrong and Nancy Sanders, say the 51-year-old Gandolfini died Wednesday while on holiday in Rome. In a statement, HBO called the actor a great talent and a gentle and loving person. His film credits included "Zero Dark Thirty" and "Killing Them Softly," and he appeared in the Broadway production "God of Carnage."

Officials say firefighters found a body at an Allentown blaze on Wednesday night, but the death was unrelated to the fire at the 800 block of N. Jerome Street. Allentown Fire Department officials say firefighters responded to a small fire and found the body of a 58-year-old man. A portable electrical appliance appears to have started the blaze. According to fire officials, the death is not related to the blaze.

It’s been more than a year since the Uptown Theater began its first phase of renovations and progress has been slow…but steady. To celebrate Black Music Month, the Philadelphia landmark is opening its doors to the public for a day of tours. In the meantime, the Uptown is celebrating Black Music Month with several events beginning on Thursday night with its Rock n’ Roll Show and Music Appreciation Awards Ceremony. Friday – there will be free music in front of the Uptown at 2440 North Broad Street. Saturday, it’s lunch and tours of the theater. Finally, on Sunday – the Uptown will be part of the African American Heritage tour.

Weather, June 20

Partly Sunny. High 81 in Center City.
