On Wednesday, hundreds gathered to pay their respects to fallen Philadelphia Fire Captain Michael Goodwin, at the first of two viewings held in Northeast Philadelphia. Captain Goodwin, a veteran of 29 years, died Saturday while battling a fire in the city's Queen Village neighborhood. Another viewing will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m.

A Philadelphia man was sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to shining a laser beam at Chopper 3 HD/SkyFox in July 2012. Daniel F. Dangler was sentenced to three months in jail followed by seven months of home confinement. He was also ordered three years of supervised release. The FAA also has a civil case pending against Dangler. He could be fined up to $11,000.

The Philadelphia district attorney's office charged four young adults and 10 juveniles in connection with Tuesday afternoon's "mob" incident that disrupted center city. Tuesday, just before 4pm, a huge crowd gathered at 15th and Chestnut Streets. Police say a fight broke out between two teen girls. As police tried to disperse the crowd, authorities say, some from the crowd threw bottles at officers. There were no injuries. 18-year-olds Mitchell Symeir, Tymere Wilder, Rashaun Green, and Kenyatta Long were charged with conspiracy, obstructing highways, failure to disperse, and disorderly conduct. The 10 juveniles received similar charges. Wilder, Green and Long are seniors and played basketball for Bishop McDevitt. Symeir is a senior at Overbrook High.
