Amtrak Train Strikes Pedestrian, Center City High Rise Evacuation, French Montana Bus Gunman Charged
  by: Rebel - Havertown, PA

Authorities say a pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after they were struck by an Amtrak train in Croydon, Pa. This happened around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Bristol Pike on a rail line shared by Septa. Police are still investigation. The person's age and gender are not available.

Smoke in the hallways forced the evacuation of a Center City high-rise Tuesday night. Firefighters were called to the corner of Broad and Chestnuts Streets just before 8 p.m. Broad Street was closed while firefighters tried to locate the flame. It turns out they were coming from a burning mattress and garbage outside the building.

Police in Philadelphia have arrested a man in the homicide of a man who died when a gunman fired into a crowd surrounding the tour bus of rapper French Montana. 20-year-old Frank Briggs faces charges of murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and firearms crimes in the shooting shortly before midnight Feb. 28 near Penn’s Landing.
