The head of the union representing workers in the state’s liquor stores says Gov. Corbett’s privatization plan is a bad idea saying that while the governor’s plan may sound appealing to some on the surface, it will wreak havoc for thousands of Pennsylvania families. He also says there is support to reform the existing system but not dismantle it entirely.

The verdict is guilty for a 66-year-old priest and a 49-year-old former Catholic school lay teacher in the sexual molestation of a then 10-year-old altar boy at St. Jerome’s Parish back in 1998 and 1999. Father Charles Engelhardt faces a maximum sentence of 37 years in prison, and Bernard Shero faces a maximum of 57 years.
