The voter ID law is back in Commonwealth Court this morning.
Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson is expected to layout the timeline for the remainder of the case. Judge Simpson's October ruling only stopped the voter ID law for the November 6th general election, which means the law is currently in effect and could be enforced in future elections.

The Philadelphia School District unveils plans to permanently close about 40 schools next fall at a 2 pm news conference today. The district has said it could save $33 million by closing underutilized buildings and that it has 70,000 empty seats across the system.

Police are searching for two suspects following a shooting aboard a train in West Philadelphia Wednesday night a little before 11 p.m. near 46th and Market streets on SEPTA’s Market-Frankford line.
Police say a man exited the train and then fired a gun into it before fleeing the scene. Authorities say one person was injured and taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in unknown condition.
