The search is on for the attacker who savagely beat two elderly men, 76 and 80 years old, with a wrench and a tape dispenser. It happened at around 2pm Thursday in the 5900 block of North 4th Street in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s, about 5’4” to 5’6” wearing all dark clothing at the time. Police say the suspect got away with only the victims’ car keys not the car.

There were three $1 million tickets sold in Pennsylvania for the Powerball jackpot, one of them at a gas station in Montgomery County, Sunoco on Lancaster Ave in Wynnewood. The winner bought the tickets for his office pool of 10 people. The two other tickets were purchased in Altoona, Blair County and Cabot, Butler County. Each retailer will get a $5,000 bonus for selling the tickets. New Jersey lottery officials also announced that there were eight $1 million tickets sold throughout the state including one at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City.

The former athletic director at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor is headed to Montgomery County prison for at least five months for sending sexually explicit Facebook messages to a teen he recruited for the football team. The judge sentenced 39-year-old Francis Murphy to five to 23 months behind bars for unlawful contact and corruption of a minor, both felonies. Murphy was arrested last year when he showed up in Bridgeport for what he thought would be a sexual tryst with the student.
