A federal officer is recovering at Hahnemann University Hospital after being punched in the face in Center City Monday night. Police say two suspects mugged the officer of his laptop at 15th and JFK. The suspects punched the officer before fleeing the area. At least one suspect is in custody.

Emergency crews were on the scene for a bus fire on Interstate 95 in Delaware County last night. It happened a little after 5:30 p.m. on I-95 northbound near Highland Avenue in Lower Chichester.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.

Mayor Nutter and community leaders are gratified to see the results of nearly $300,000 in storefront improvements along the 52nd street corridor. The latest improvements along 52nd Street include new building façades, fresh awnings, signs, and advertising display lights, all part of a larger makeover between Arch Street and Baltimore Avenue. US congressman Chaka Fattah secured the federal funds for the project.
