Fast moving storms dumped about one to two inches of rain in a short period of time today, leaving streets flooded in Wildwood and North Wildwood. A group of four were huddled under an umbrella near Cedar Avenue seeking shelter during the storm when a bolt of lightning struck nearby and traveled up the umbrella, injuring a male and female. The two were taken to the Cape Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Philadelphia police have arrested a suspect in connection with the sexual assault of a 78-year-old woman in Germantown last week. 24-year-old Ronald Gregory was arrested Tuesday night in the Bartram Village Apartments at 54th and Elmwood Avenue. Gregory is charged with rape, deviate sexual intercourse, robbery and related crimes. In addition to assaulting the victim, he took $200 in cash and a $700 money order

Joshua Malmgren is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated for his role in the deadly accident killing two female teenagers that occurred on Bayshore Road in Cape May County last night. The females, ages 15 and 13, were pronounced at the scene. Malmgren has been charged with two counts of Death by vehicular homicide, a crime of the second degree, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane of travel and consumption of alcoholic beverage by an operator of a motor vehicle.
