Marijuana Op Found In West Philly House Fire, Chesco Swim Coach Arrested, Manayunk Water Main Break

Firefighters on a house fire in West Philadelphia discovered a large-scale marijuana growing operation. When firefighters began battling the blaze, they found 100 marijuana plants valued at $1 million inside the property. Narcotics investigators were on the scene conducting an investigation.

A Chester County swimming coach has been arrested for sexually assaulting a minor. Forty-seven-year-old Kenneth Fuller, of West Chester, was arrested for allegedly having sex with a minor female student at least three times in the last month, including once when he posed as the victim’s father and had the student excused from school in order to meet him at a hotel and have sex. He also allegedly provided the underage victim with alcohol on two occasions.

A burst water main sent water cascading along three blocks of Main Street Manyunk yesterday afternoon. Owners of more than a dozen businesses watched with concern, some piling sandbags on the pavement, as the water rose knee-deep in some spots before the leak was finally shut off 90 minutes later. Most of the other restaurants and shops along the busy stretch of Main Street had no major damage.
