If you're looking for a way to spend this Sunday evening, check out the first Walla Fest of 2013. The fest started as a school project created by the three founders, Ant Bui, Keba, and Yesenia. Each Walla Fest includes art and music, as a way to showcase the creative young talent in Norristown. Jazz Legend Dave Brubeck Passes Away

Dave Brubeck, a jazz legend, passed away today, missing his 92nd birthday by a day. He passed away due to heart failure in Connecticut. He began playing classical piano at a young age, finding jazz during college. He switched his studies from veterinary medicine to music and went on to become the jazz great we know today.

Madonna Sued for $10 Million in Moral Damages in Russia

Originally only fined for 5,000 Rubles ($150), the popstar is now being sued for moral damages by hardliners in Russia after the conviction of Pussy Riot. During a concert in St. Petersburg, Madonna showed her support for the LGBT community by saying “show your love and appreciation to the gay community.” Pink wristbands were distributed to attendees and Madonna wore a black bra with the words “No Fear” on her back.

The 6th Walla Fest will be this Sunday with even more to see and hear than the last five! Walla Fest celebrated its one year anniversary a little over a month ago at the 5th Walla Fest, and the founders have kept it going as a way to "put Norristown on the map." Snoop Dogg has dropped the latter half of his name, and along with it, and his music style - in favor of reggae. After spending time in Jamaica, Snoop says that he has found his Rastafarian calling. A year ago, Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London home from alcohol poisoning. The singer was only 27 years old. Known for her bluesy crooning, Winehouse won five Grammy awards with her US breakthrough album “Back to Black”.
