The Lehigh County Coroner's Office announced that an Upper Macungie Township man died days after being attacked by his pet boa constrictor. The cause of death is listed as an anoxic brain injury due to asphyxiation by constriction and the manner of death was deemed accidental. It happened on the 1400 block of Church Street in Fogelsville around 2:12 p.m. last Wednesday, 7/20. Police arrived to find an 18-foot long python wrapped tightly around the neck of 27-year-old Elliot Senseman. He was already unresponsive. Officers shot the snake in the head and were then able to free Senseman. He was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest where he died on Sunday morning, 7/24.

SEPTA and Wawa announced a naming rights deal for a Regional Rail station opening next month in Delaware County. The new Wawa Station will be located on Baltimore Pike (Rt. 1) in Wawa, PA, next to the convenience store chain's corporate headquarters. It will be an extension of the Media/Elwyn line (changing to Media/Wawa), about 3 miles past the Elwyn stop. The last time this stop was in service was 1986. It has been undergoing renovation since 2018. The station is ADA-accessible, has 600 parking spots, and connects with SEPTA bus routes 111 and 114. It will open on August 21.

WWE announced that WrestleMania 40 will be held in Philadelphia in 2024. The two-day event will take place at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. "We are proud to welcome WWE fans from around the world to Philadelphia to be a part of the historic 40th WrestleMania in 2024," Mayor Kenney said. "The week-long series of events will help put a global spotlight on our great city while also generating a major impact for our local economy." The entire week leading up to WrestleMania will be filled with WWE events including Friday Night SmackDown on April 5, Monday Night Raw on April 8, and the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony all held at the Wells Fargo Center. The Pennsylvania Convention Center will also host fan events. It is expected to draw fans from all across the country and the world and have a large economic impact on the Philadelphia area.
