A Camden County, New Jersey man has been arrested after his 12-year-old nephew died of a fentanyl overdose on a school bus in January. 35-year-old Troy Nokes of Blackwood is charged with aggravated manslaughter, strict liability drug-induced death, maintaining a CDS production facility, employing a juvenile in a drug distribution scheme, endangering the welfare of a child, witness tampering, tampering with evidence, hindering apprehension, aggravated assault and other related offenses. On January 24, Noke's nephew was found unresponsive in the back of a school bus. The school nurse performed CPR until medics arrived. He was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he died on February 1. It was determined that he died from fentanyl intoxication. The boy lived in a home with Nokes who was manufacturing fentanyl. He instructed the boy the clean paraphernalia that contained the drug and witnesses say that he was not wearing gloves. The powerful drug can be fatal in minute doses. Noke's ex-girfriend Joanna Johnson is also charged with tampering with evidence and hindering the apprehension. They were arrested by the United States Marshals Service Regional Fugitive Task Force and are being held at the Camden County Correctional Facility.

An armed suspect was shot and killed by a store manager during an attempted robbery in North Philadelphia on Thursday night, 3/24. It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Dollar General at 9th Street and Girard Avenue in the city's Ludlow section. The 36-year-old suspect entered the store and ordered the cashier to open the register. The cashier called over the manager who tried to talk with the suspect. The man brandished a makeshift weapon. The manager pulled their own gun and shot the suspect in the head. He was pronounced dead at 8:47 p.m. The manager did have a license to carry. The suspect's weapon turned out not to be an actual gun, only made out to look like a firearm. The investigation is ongoing.

A man was shot and killed in a road rage incident in Upper Darby on Friday morning, 3/25. It happened around 8 a.m. at Lansdowne Ave and Winding Way in Drexel Hill by Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School. Police say that a 56-year-old Havertown man was found inside his vehicle. He had been shot in the head. Lansdowne Ave was closed for a period of time. Investigators say they have surveillance video of the incident. No arrests or motive yet.
