The nephew of a woman found dead in Neshaminy State Park earlier this month has been arrested for her murder. 20-year-old Andrew Jennings is charged with murder, possessing instruments of crime, obstructing justice, abuse of corpse, and tampering with evidence in the death of his aunt, 50-year-old Lisa Jennings. They are both from Philadelphia. On January 8, police were called to the state park in Bensalem, Bucks County, for the discovery of a body. She had suffered multiple stabs wounds. Officials released a photo of a tattoo that read "Lisa." The family saw the news and made the identification. On January 10, State Police executed a search warrant on the 2100 block of East Cambria Street in Philadelphia and determined that was the location of the murder. They also determined Andrew Jennings had traveled from Cambria Street to Neshaminy State Park on the morning of 1/8. Police say he acted alone. They have not given a motive.

A Philadelphia Police officer was dragged over a half mile while holding onto a driver suspected of possessing a firearm. It happened around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, 1/25, at 53rd Street and Baltimore Avenue in West Philadelphia. Two officers pulled over a Nissan Murano for multiple violations including an expired temporary tag and broken brake lights. While the officers were questioning the 25-year-old driver, they noticed a firearm in his pocket and asked the suspect about the weapon. The man reached for the gun and one of the officers grabbed the man's arm. The suspect then turned the car back on and drove away with the police officer hanging halfway out the door. The man drove 5 blocks before crashing at 48th Street and Baltimore Avenue. The suspect was taken into custody. The police officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The suspect's gun turned out to be stolen.

New Jersey State Police are investigating an unusual deadly crash on the highway in Camden County. Investigators believe that the driver was actually dead before his car crashed. It happened around 10:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-76 before Route 42 in Mount Ephraim Borough on Monday, 1/24. The victim was in a black 2004 Mercedes Benz 500 that collided with a construction zone barrier. He has been identified as 48-year-old Louis E. Ciccanti Jr. of Cherry Hill. He worked for SEPTA as a rail vehicle electronic equipment maintainer. "Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that the victim died as a result of injuries not related to the crash," NJ state police said in a Facebook post. "While driving on Interstate 76, the victim succumbed to his injuries and his vehicle went off the road where it struck a traffic barrier."
